Come and find your
place!
No-one can visit Ffald-y-Brenin without being instantly
impacted by its beauty and setting. The buildings are
stone-built and blend in perfectly with the hillside,
providing a variety of simple yet comfortable
accommodation for groups, families and individuals.
Please Note: Pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted
in the buildings.
Guest Accommodation
A major internal refurbishment was implemented during
2005 - 2006.
Morvil Cottage
is an old, remote, stone-built cottage across the valley,
built in a similar style to the main Centre. It has 2
bedrooms and a grog loft (galleried bedroom).
Common Areas
The
Common Room has an open fireplace and well equipped
kitchen and serves as a sitting room, dining room and
as a meeting place. Deep window seats on both sides of
the room afford wide views down the Gwaun valley and across
to the Preseli hills. There is a library containing books
and cassettes.
The
small Beehive chapel seating up to 20
people provides a place for group worship or private prayer.
A rock formation rising out of the stone floor is true
bedrock, part of the mountain itself.
The Entrance Porch houses maps and guides
to the area. Boots and outdoor clothing may be left here.
Meeting Facilities
Separated
from the main building by an attractive courtyard can
be found the Prayer Room/main Meeting Room
(seating up to 45), enjoying dramatic views of the Preseli
hills. It is equipped with a keyboard, VCR, DVD, 42”
plasma screen, CD player, whiteboard, OHP and drinks facilities.
The
smaller Meeting Room/Craft Room (seating
up to 25) is part of the same complex and offers uninterrupted
views across the valley through the spectacular picture
windows. Drink-making facilities are provided. A variety
of creative activities are provided for, from art to pyrography,
crafts to jigsaw puzzles.
The Vestry is only 5 minutes away and
seats up to 120.
BBQ facilities are available upon request.
Gardens and Grounds
Our guests appreciate the gardens and grounds which include
two pools, a waterfall, several lawns, footpaths, flowers
and shrubs and an emerging Prayer garden.
The High Cross is a special place, sighted at the top
of the promontory.
