Can I visit for the day?

Yes you can.  Just give us a ring (on 01348 881382) to let us know what dates you are coming and to check the centre is open to visit.

 

What do I need to bring if I am visiting for the day?

You will need to bring a packed lunch with you.  However, tea and coffee refreshments are provided. 

 

How do I get to Ffald y Brenin?

We are very rural, so we suggest coming by car. You can get directions here. If you don't drive, you can get a train to Fishguard & Goodwick (about 30 minutes away) and then a taxi to us (local taxi number 01348 872088) which will cost about £20. 

 

What is the nearest train station to Ffald y Brenin?

The nearest station is Fishguard & Goodwick (about 30 minutes away). If you are travelling via public transport, you will then need to catch a taxi to us (local taxi number 01348 872088) which will cost about £20.

The nearest airport is Cardiff, although you may get cheaper flights flying in to Bristol or any London airport.

 

Do you offer led retreats?

No, we do not offer led retreats.  If you are coming as part of a group we encourage you to organise your own meetings and services.  We do have our daily rhythym of prayer which you are welcome to join us in. 

 

Do I need to bring bedding (if I am staying on-site)?

No, you DO NOT need to bring bedding.  All you need to bring is a towel and food and drinks.

 

Is catering provided?

If you are a group of 8 or more you can book catering with us.  If you are coming as an individual or small group, you will need to bring all your own food and drinks.

 

Is there a place I can cook my food?

There is a kitchen provided for all residential guests.  This kitchen includes 2 ovens, microwave, toaster, fridge, small freezer (limited space), and all pots, pans, utensils that you may need.  If you are a non-residential visitor, you are very welcome to eat your packed lunch in the Day Room which has a microwave and kettle for your use.
