Blog - 18th January 2012

Can you believe that we really are into 2012 already? The sun has been shining and the air is crisp. Evenings are beginning to lengthen and Spring is not too far away.

Here at Ffald-y-Brenin we have been finalising our programme for the year and getting it to the Printer. Now we are about to send it out. Over the next few days the fuller programme will appear on the website.

We are planning our farewells for Phyllida Mould, the lady who had the original vision for a ‘place’. She leaves in a few weeks time. This has triggered an opportunity to purchase the remaining property not owned by the Trust, securing it for the future. We also need more staff accommodation which means buying a property off-site in a very expensive area (Newport, Pembrokeshire). To facilitate our goals we will need to raise up to £800,000. We now welcome promises of significant gifts and/or interest-free loans. Please contact us if you require further information.

At the moment we are closed to residential guests until 27th January whilst new bathrooms go in, flooring is replaced and decorating carried out. It is a hive of activity! We trust you will be impressed when you next visit us.

Our next Prayer Day is on Tuesday 7th February and once again Graham Kendrick will help lead us as we ‘Surf the Psalms’.
