After Cyprus and Dorset, Huntingdon and Derby are next in our sights.

Our next external trip is to Huntingdon on Saturday 5th May (info from Vanessa on 01480 463123) and at Derby with our full team on Saturday 26th May.

We had a great time in Cyprus with the House of Prayer at Larnaca and it was good to meet with new friends as well as old. We did tabernacle worship on the Saturday with a map of Cyprus 40' by 40' in the middle, and about 200 attended. At one point we had Greek Cypriots packed onto the map as they cried out for their land. During the week there were many encouraging words about the Lord's plans for Cyprus. The small team we had taken were a blessing to the HOP.

Then to Dorset where we had a great time at Lytchett Minster, a name familiar to older Christians who will remember Jean Darnell, Sacred Dance, The Fisherfolk etc. The network of home-based Local Houses of Prayer is doing very well indeed and is growing strongly.

Back at base I had the joy of interviewing a young woman whom I did not recognise. She had been brought to a Prayerday a couple of months ago and laid on a bed at the back for the duration. We had ministered to her at the end and now here she was, unrecogniseable, running down the hall to tell everyone how she had been healed, not needing sticks any more, and is so free.

Daphne has had a great time leading the prayer ministry at Llanw which has become a major Conference in the medium of Welsh.

Home and Away!

We have seen God move in magnificent mercy this week. At our Prayer Day we saw someone healed and saved and filled with joy. We joined in with the Angels and partied with them!

Just had an emailed testimony regarding a meeting we held a couple of weeks ago. A young man with dreadful stomach difficulties attended. Following a word of knowledge he was suddenly aware of Jesus standing at his side. Jesus reached out into the young man’s oesophagus and wrapped his hand around the pain and pulled it out. His throat then felt as though it was on fire all the way down to his stomach and he shook for half an hour as the power of the Holy Spirit came on him. Since then he has been pain free. Yes, God is good.

Getting ready to take a team over to Cyprus where they will be involved in mission with the house of prayer there and we anticipate a good time. Why? Because all the promises are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus. We will be there for a week – you may like to join in by praying for us.

We will fly back and travel to Dorset to encourage folks from the Connect network of Churches who are planting a network of local houses of prayer.

‘Please may we have £800,000 Lord?’

Is that a big prayer or a small? I suppose it depends on your perspective. To the person who is struggling to put food on the table today it is a fortune. To the person who owns several city properties it is small fry.

Here at Ffald-y-Brenin we have agreed in faith to purchase the remaining property and surrounding land on site, which will make the Centre secure for the future and release much-needed space for admin and residential staff. We have also agreed to purchase a further property off-site for staff, also desperately needed.

So the amount we need to raise is £800,000.

A huge amount to us but nothing to God.

Would you stand with us in prayer and faith that the whole amount might be given?

And perhaps pray and ask the Lord whether you too might have the privilege of sowing into the remarkable ministry of this place?

Are you the one who might give us a property to sell which would fund much of the £800,000?

An impossible figure? We have stepped out in faith fully believing that he has power to deliver. Please pray!

False summits invariably catch you by surprise.  You think you have reached the top only to see that all you have really achieved is the ability to see an even higher point.  That’s what life here is like just now.  Having been buzzing with the stories of God’s wonderful works in our midst we have experienced an amazing new height.

Some of the testimonies make you laugh whilst others make you want to weep.  What a painful mess life can bring.  But enter Jesus and everything changes.  So we see lives changed, bodies healed, those who are heavy of heart clothed with a garment of praise, the dry find water for their souls, sin forgiven, all because Jesus is in the house.  (You can find the scriptural foundation for this on the CD talk ‘Jesus is in the House’ available from our Resource section.)

We have been crowded for our Rhythm of Daily Prayer.  On Tuesday we had our monthly Prayer Day and welcomed visitors including some from England, Costa Rica, Singapore, California, Germany, Belarus and Czech Republic. The power of God moved in our midst and testimonies have followed.

We were graced with the presence of Graham and Jill Kendrick this week (see www.grahamkendrick.co.uk ) and they truly contributed to what God is doing here.  Graham’s new song of blessing is found on his new album ‘Banquet’.

As for us, we are tired but looking forward to seeing what God will do next…..
